Suzuki GSX1100ET

Here we have my tastefully restored and modified 1980 GSX1100. Rebuilt in 2016/17, the 1170 motor has been reworked with stage 1 cams, welded crank, tough clutch, high pressure oil pump feeding an Earls 9 row oil cooler with anodised fittings, via a bespoke alloy take-off, the engine is fed from a bank of Mikuni RS-36-D3 smoothbore carbuettors, Pingel high flow fuel tap and AP filters. An Earls braided breather line ensures crankcase pressure remains minimal. Exhaust gasses are taken care of by a one off Racefit Titanium exhaust. The engine has been freshly powder coated in satin black with polished cases and an alloy Yoshimura cover for the ignition. The front end is GSXR1100 with reworked upside down forks anodised in black with gold sliders, stiffer springs and Racetech valving. A Bridgestone S20 tyre sits on the stock rim, standard discs are braked by Tokico 6 pots, EBC double H pads and braided lines. All supported by a black anodised alloy triple tree with bespoke alloy headlamp brackets. Rear end is held sturdy by an extended Spondon triple box section swingarm with tubular under brace, rear wheel, disc & calliper are Bandit 12 items, again shod with an S20 Bridgestone, rear suspension is provided by a pair of Nitron R3 3 way adjustable piggy back shocks in grey/blue colour scheme. Upgraded charging system from Electrex, Dyna greens provide a reliable spark via Taylor grey leads. I wanted to retain a semi-stock appearance using standard bodywork but decided on a more eye catching colour in Repsol Orange with sold black striping following the original pattern. Reworked saddle and grab rail, standard clocks provide rider information, whilst streamlined mirrors show whats been overtaken! Tastefully and sympatheticly modified using high end and genuine Suzuki parts.
