‘Taste of Tsukuba’
Kawasaki Zephyr 1100 Evolution

Summary
The project has taken approximately 3 years to build from sourcing original donor bike to today's finished article. Before anyone asks, I dare not add up the final cost in monetary terms but let's just say it's considerable. The bike has been built using a whole host of "cottage industry" guys in mainly back garden sheds, which I find incredible when you look at the detail and the quality of the work they have produced.
Build Specification (in brief!) Engine - all casings stripped, zylon coated, oversized pistons, valves, cams, rebuild using Ti drilled bolts, sump modified to allow for exhaust, bespoke machined engine casings and clutch assembly including hydraulic piston. Frame - stripped and modified for engine mounts, swingarm, number board, coils, battery cradle, oil catch tank and repainted. Swingarm - bespoke tubular aluminium and machined adjusters Forks - modified Marzocchi Rac 50's with bespoke machined yokes and brake/ clutch reservoir supports. Number Board Assembly - bespoke machined to accept led front light assembly and Ktech steering damper. Tank - tank modified to accept bespoke machined fillers. Rearsets/Clip-ons - both bespoke machined. Seat/rear tail - seat remodelled/recovered leather and alcantarra, rear tail assembly redesigned, rear digital light/ brake. Electrics - Dyno 2000, bespoke loom with aircraft connectors. Miscellaneous new parts - Spa tachometer, Oz and Marcesini wheels, brembo hydraulic brake and clutch levers, Brembo calipers, Nitron rear shocks Exhaust - complete one off Racefit titanium/ carbon full system exhaust. Paint - "jury is still out" !!! - may change to old style retro. No doubt there is a lot of areas of the build I have forgotten, hence, the bike really needs to be seen in flesh.
